I was invited to attend a very interesting Tech talk recently. Its an initiative by Telekom Malaysia via TM: RE with REKA announcing a new program named #StartIoT, through which both parties will be promoting the connected device arena in Malaysia.
As is well known, connected devices or IOTs are increasingly popular these days, with various companies venturing into it and using technology advantages in increasing productivity, efficiency, and so on. They’re many interesting insight i get thru this event as i am not really tech savvy person.
Through this program called #StartIoT, both parties will teach and educate the use of devices connected at several locations around the Klang Valley. For this initial stage, 4 workshops will be held throughout October and November to find out more about the IoT. Participants who want to participate should pay a fee of RM500 for each workshop. There also a few booth by new startup and tech company that are using the IOT as part of their products.
At this launch event, the REKA took the opportunity to briefly preview a board developed by their own named RIG – and used for the development of various device ideas over the course. The TM: RE and REKA will also be holding a simple hackathon at the end of the year to continue promoting the device’s arena.
